This film was a delight to make! The Wilson brothers are a magnificent band of brothers! Thanks for all the enjoyment in making this picture. Best wishes from the producers at Fortune Films!
I saw Wendell Baker again in NYC on May 20...loved it just as much as the first time. It seemed like bits and pieces were missing that were there before though. Also attended NY Times event that evening and saw Luke and Andrew being interviewed about making the movie...so cool. They are sweet and funny guys!
Thanks for answering some of my questions the other night!!! Can't wait to see the movie! I would have been lining up if it wasn't for work :)! Best of luck with its success!
Hey Wendell, thanks for the add. Can't wait to see you on big screen. You so deserve to spread your joy throughout the world!!!
People so need to see you!
Wendell, I imported TWBS from Holland and would love to see this film in a theatre in Scotland, please release this film in the UK when you make bail!
Thanks for putting the trailer up, added to profile.
I was fortunate enough to get to see this movie and I loved it. It's amazing. A great story, great actors, and let's not forget the great writer(!) and directors!
I'm glad Wendell's story is finally getting told. The guy has been serving the southwest since like, 1971... I mean he was a small child then, but nonetheless he was doing service for his community and surrounding areas... and maintaining an entrepeneur lifestyle. Plus all the perks. Why I remember receiving an authentic Wendell Baker Timex watch back in the day, part of marketing and promotion for instituting appropriate unions and clearing the path for health & welfare programs in the lives of hard working migrant workers. There's so much history here with this person and the good he's done. He never should have done time in the joint for americanizing our dear friends south of the border... truly one of the mavericks in breaking down the barriers and creating equal opportunity for folks all over.
Wendell is genuinely one of my super heroes... I aspire to be more like him.
