The Wetsuits are a four-piece instrumental and vocal combo. They play their own take on classis surf tunes, TV and movie spy themes and their own songs in the beach-party/garage-pop and instrumental genres. Spy-surf-garage-pop with a dash of lounge in short!
Based in the beach party capital of the world - Sydney, Australia - The Wetsuits released their debut album "The Golden Tones Of The Wetsuits" in 2001. The CD has received solid critical acclaim throughout the instrumental music world and is distributed in Australia and the UK by Didgeridoo Records and is available by mail order from DWM Music in the US.
The Wetsuits play live in a vast array of situations ranging from the Sydney 2000 Olympics, to cruises on Sydney Harbour, numerous pub gigs, coastal shows and corporate events.
The band plays monthly during summer at the legendary Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills (first Saturday of the month from 2 -5pm) and has a batch of hot new original tunes (both instrumental and vocal) which should be recorded and ready to go in the not-too-distant future.
