The White House Live is the brain child of Brixton resident and promoter Ms Nuala Ginty and Director at The White House Mr Yann Roberts. The idea came about as the level of live music in SW4 seemed to be lacking in every way. As the indie scene seemed to be making waves up east and in the depth of North London but not a ripple was felt in South London. So began The White House Live under the umbrella name of Eclectric. Yann says We started a concept called Eclectric (an eclectic mix of electronic beats) back in the spring of 2005. The idea was to mix up different musical genres throughout the evening on our Thursday nights. The re-invigoration of live music and the soaring popularity of festivals led me to think about introducing a live element in the Eclectric program. I and the promotions team have been able to access some amazing bands and we will continue to have live music on a Thursday regularly for the foreseeable future . Yann Roberts.
