A brief history of The Whole Grand Scheme
Matt and Graeme met at school, where they also met Alex. They left school and went their own ways for a while. They then came back and started a band. Needed a drummer, they met Chris through a mtual friend. The three were a four and they set about creating great sounding music
A brief-er history of The Whole Grand Scheme
They all met and set about creating great sounding music
Some random questions:
What's playing on your stereo?
Matt-Jeff Buckley
Chris-Whitesnake's "Live in the Heart of the City"
Alex-A new CD of a band who's name I forget. They're from Australia.
Graeme-The Sunshine Underground
What is your favourite Whole Grand Scheme song?
G-Obviously all of them, but for this I'll go with Against the Odds.
M-Belong
C-Tough call, my favourite to play is Heathens Come On. From a drummers point of view it's got a good beat.
A-The second one we played tonight. (That'll be against the odds then-the rest of the band).
What's your porn name?
A-Tansy Johnson
C-Robbie Green
G-Suki Bird
M-Blossom Ashcroft
What's your earliest memory?
G-6am
M-Mum's white Maxi not starting in the rain, outside playgroup.
C-Breakfast, it was good.
A-Getting lost on Northumberland beach, when I was 3. Then in a vision of logic, I realised all I'd done was walk in a straight line down the beach. Therefore, all I had to do was turn around and walk in a straight line back. Always the spod.
If you weren't in The Whole Grand Scheme, which band would you be in?
G-So many good bands; The Clash, The Stone Roses, The Rolling Stones. Any of them would be cool.
C-I'd need a bit of practice but Led Zep.
A-Girls Aloud
M-The Velvet Underground or The Doors
Who's the worst driver in the band?
M-Me
G-Me
C-Probably me to be honest, on my 3rd rehearsal with the band I reversed into a tree.
A-Not me I'm a brilliant driver, everyone else is shit.
What animal would you be?
A-Dolphin
G-A lion or a penguin, or a crazy mix of the two-a lioguin.
M-Cat
C-Animal from the muppets
This week I have mostly been drinking..........
M-Beer.
C-Guiness, the best thing to happen in 1759.
A-Brown booze, it's great.
G-In no particular order; Water, rum and coke, lager and finally blackcurrant
The drugs don't work. Discuss
C-Would love to but it's past my bedtime. It's a school night.
M-The drugs don't work because it's hard to level with who you are.
A-Today's musicians abuse drugs dreadfully. A couple of lines and then rehab, wet bastards. Get rich, take drugs, get richer, take more OD a few times.............(Al ranted on for 3 hours-we couldn't be arsed to write it all down)
G-Must be a placebo then.
Stuff we learned
You don't want to get in a car with us.
When asked we were all wearing black undercrackers, apart from one who was going commando.
We would all rather live in a boat rather than a tree, so we could do our appalling pirate impressions.
When we were little we wanted to be: a racing driver, big, a spaceman, a musician.
Just to say good luck for tonight's gig.
Vivienne and I will be there, yes, we've given up watching The Apprentice just for yous!!! Think that deserves a dedication....
Damn these university computers for not having sound cards (quiet those at the back shouting that i should be using uni computers for work, and not piddling round on MySpace for hours) I can't hear your new tune. When are you gigging next?
xx
You see i wanted your myspace viginity but that greedy nate seacourt took it. Ah wel i'll take his seconds! Hope all is well lads, looking forward to Chill out on sunday.
