Malt Liquor, Ike Turner, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, James Brown, Gary Busey, O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector, "Digger" De Graves, Mike Tyson, David Hasselhoff, Jesus, Moustaches...
Jerry Reed, C.W. McCall, Smokey and the Bandit, Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds, Kris Kristofferson, Truck Drivers, State Troopers...
We're just a couple of good ol' boys from the United Kingdom of America with a sense of humour, a sense of adventure and a sense of entertainment.
We're here to amuse, abuse, and infuse the feeling of freedom you've forgotten you have.
We're not myspace whores, and we're not like "other bands" here. We only invite you to listen to our music because we think it'll make you laugh and that's because it makes us laugh...
So listen up, lighten up, and look out! The Wifebeaters are here, spread the word!
As Hitler once said, "...that's entertainment!" and as Jackie Gleason once said "The God damn Germans got nothing to do with it!"
Wilfy Williams announces his first solo gig supporting the world famous Alabama3 at Dirty South in London on Saturday 22nd December 2007. Alabama3 are the best live band in the country(The Guardian) who wrote Woke Up This Morning, theme tune to the hit show The Sopranos.
With Wilfy supporting its sure to be a night to remember. The Pompey Busker is a man on a mission to put English music back where it belongs at the pinnacle of the music world. He’s been attracting support from some of the most influential and talented people in the business. With his genius lyrics and epic guitar solos, the demos on myspace offer a solid, if minimal glimpse of the entertainer and performer that is Wilfy Williams.
You may remember Wilfy Williams from such previous songwriting favourites as:
STAR IN THE CROWD(Daily) THE WHO(Daily) ADAMANT(The Fret) A DIFFERENT SOUND(The Fret) &More Recently A NEW BEGINNING(Wilfy Williams).
His new tune HEAVEN THROUGH YOUR EYES was recorded with his friend and mentor Phil Owen(old school Pompey Busker) who has passed his ‘hat’ and his wisdom on to Wilfy. The song is available to download for free only on myspace.
Nah, forget the tee's, get on with those rubber wristband things, any sucker will wear those whether they're for charity or not! Make 'em now now now :op x
