She often works with Ty as "Lake Marie" performing songs by Gillian Welch, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Etc. "Steve Gamble & Ty Watling"
Ty met Steve at a Folk Festival in early 2006, and they soon discovered they shared an uncannily similar taste in music, as well as both writing their own songs. "The Wilderness Family" is a group of musical friends who share a love of music and life. They play together, gig together, record together, share songs, run through woods, hide in caves, row small wooden boats across mountain lakes and generally refuse to grow old together.
Raised upon the chilly fields and warm summer mists of South East England, they play their sweet blend of folk, americana, indie, rock, bluegrass long into the inky black nights of Kent.....

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace -
2 of 230, walkaboutsverse.741.com: WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

Thank you for finding me and inviting me to be your friend. Mmm a band from Kent called the Wilderness Family, very optimistic in view of all the concrete that is currently being laid in the county.
Thanks very much for the comment! Im really pleased you liked the new recording! And you're right... after I've done my windmills, I was thinking of smashing my guitar through an amp... Do you reckon it would go down well at the orpington folk club? :) xx
