The Willows evolved from the remnants of several other groups in and around the Boston music scene. The songs dip into several genres while maintaining a unique and primitive sound - a little alt-country, americana, rock mix up if you will. The band released a self titled album in 2006 and followed up with their sophmore effort, See You Next April in 2007. In 2009 the band put the finishing touches on their 3rd full length cd, Roots Run Deep. "Roots" was recorded live to analog tape, blends several writing styles into a cohesive and impressive song collection, and stands to be the band's finest work to date. To promote the new cd the band is playing a barage of live shows in and around the NewEngland club scene beginning in November topping it off w/ a cd release bash at the acclaimed Middle East club in Cambridge Central Square on Saturday 5/1.
