With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Now we’re going through an uncertain future with JJ as he remains in ICU at the animal hospital. (Details on my blog if you're interested). Hopefully everything will be fine and back to normal soon. Will you please keep our family in your prayers? It is designed to prepare you for a management level position as a wine buy (or F&B), a head sommelier, event planner, a buyer for a wine shop or restaurant, or to be a sales person with a distributor or importer. We have even had numerous wine makers take this course. However, you do not have to be in the trade to take this course. If you are a serious enthusiast, or are considering changing careers, then this is a course you should take. The Advanced Wine Course includes: Component Tasting French Wine Italian Wine German and Austrian Wine Spanish and Portuguese Wine, including fortified wines Greek Wine North American Wine Australia and New Zealand Wine South American Wine South African Wine Event Planning Wine List Development Formal Sommelier Service (and practical exam) Descriptive, Comparative and Technical Wine Evaluation Diploma, Guild pin and membership card Plus - 700+ pages of course material specifically developed for this course, and approximately 100 wines to taste. The 1-week intensive study course meets from 8:30AM to 5:30PM daily, Monday through Sunday, for a total of 60 contact hours. Course fees are $1875. Cost of the course includes registration fees, handouts, wine, lunch each day and instruction. We taste older vintage wines in this course.
