Bio:
The Winter Letters began when Raj and Alex met at Bangor University, a collaboration that quickly produced some pretty melodies and captivating lyrics.
After a few shows in North Wales, it became apparent that the sound was lacking depth. After over hearing a violinist practice in the room below, Alex met and began working with Maddie. With the addition of classically-inspired strings, TWL had a new and refreshing sound.
Purposefully avoiding the use of drums and bass guitar, it was important to bring in a piano, wonderfully played by Luke, as it provided a strong rhythm to the structure of the songs.
After a couple of years of writing, recording, and playing shows (not to mention finishing Uni...which took a bit more work than expected) - TWL have finally finished and mastered their first album.
