The Wolf Gang gibt es seit 2006, das jetzige Line-Up ist seit 2008 komplett. Musikalisch bewegt sich das Trio aus Lübeck zwischen Bands wie Tiamat, Killing Joke, Sisters Of Mercy oder Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. Manchmal werden sie auch mit den Fields Of The Nephilim oder The Mission verglichen. The Wolf Gang spielen Dark Rock mit Metal- und Gothic-, mitunter auch Post-Punk- und New-Wave-Einschlag: Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug und gelegentliche Keyboards sorgen für den druckvoll-düsteren Sound der Songs, die eine hypnotische Gesangsmelodie stets zu schätzen wissen. Live teilten sich The Wolf Gang bereits die Bühne mit Bands wie Mono Inc., Das Scheit, Coppelius, Masters Of Dark Fire oder Asylum Bedlam. Musically the three-piece from Lübeck may be compared to bands like Tiamat, Killing Joke, Sisters Of Mercy, or Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. Sometimes they are likened to Fields Of The Nephilim or The Mission. The Wolf Gang play Dark Rock with influences from Metal and Gothic, sometimes even Post Punk, and New Wave: Guitar, bass, drums, and occasional keyboards provide a powerful, dark sound for songs which always go for a hypnotic vocal melody. The Wolf Gang have shared the stage live with bands like Mono Inc., Das Scheit, Coppelius, Masters Of Dark Fire, or Asylum Bedlam.
