InfluencesThe Weird Sisters, Sonata Arctica, Dragonforce, Megadeth, John Williams, Crimson Glory, Adagio, Azkaban's Reign, Emerald Oracle, and Cea Serin.

We also enjoy Angra, Aria, Primal Fear, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Cacophony, Sarah Brightman, Cirque Du Soleil (many hails to our fomer class mates), Dead Can Dance, Dream Theater, Elegy, Iced Earth.

Kamelot, Labyrinth, Lanfear, Lost Horizon, Yngwie Malmsteen (our old History of Dragons teacher), Marduk, Racer X, Samael, Scar Symmetry, Bernd Steidl, Symphony X, Theory in Practice, Vanden Plas, Yanni, Zero Hour.

Sounds LikeThe Weird Sisters in a blender mixed with John Williams, Yanni, and various power metal CDs.

(Think about if the muggles in Stratovarius and Rhapsody recorded a "moving picture" sound-track about the life of a great wizard that defeated You-Know-Who)

   About Wonky Cross
Wonky Cross started simply enough when its members met up at a regional school of witchcraft and wizadry. Initially drawn together by a shared interest in classical music and muggle "power metal," the members of Wonky Cross decided to form their own group to combine all the areas of music that they loved - both from the wizarding world and beyond.

As the demonstration from their first foray into the world of orchestral power metal draws near, the members of Wonky Cross wish to extol the virtues of the person responsible for banishing He-who-must-not-be-named as their chosen topic of interest.

Stay tuned as Wonky Cross will be posting songs from their upcoming "CD."

Every time I come by and listen, I immediately want to go break out old Maiden and Blind Guardian. Love it.

I was just going through my list of bands that I have permission from to play their music when I realized you weren't on it! If I could have your permission to play your music on future episodes of the Podcast of Awesome that would be fantastic!
Thanks,
~Ashley

I can't get enough of 'The Boy Who Lived.' It's a crazy-awesome song; it's like Bruce Dickinson met Harry Potter and they rocked it out to the heavens above. Or something like that. Any plans for another song?
