This would be the precurser to the Dirty Americans...Myron and Freedom along with drummer Joe Mackie and Bassist Jay Vondoloski formed workhorse while attending central michigan university. Paid for and recorded the first album "DOPAMINE" (there will be a track or two up from that soon). Signed to Detroit indie label Overcore (Universal stomp, Esham, Natas, 20 dead flower children). Lost Jay and replaced him with Grady from 20 Dead around the same time as cornbread took the stage along side Myron. Recorded/released "Rhythm and Soul Cartel" EP in 1998. Band was sold to Roadrunner records and "SONS OF THE PIONEERS" was released with Pete taking over on Bass in 1999. Notorious for being one of the most ruthless and self destructive touring bands around, Workhorse toured with Fu Manchu, Kittie, DISTURBED, Fishbone, Skinlab, Skrew, Sevendust, SLIPKNOT, SLAYER, Sepultura, HATEBREED, Full Devil Jacket, Hed PE, COLD, AMEN, NATAS. When the millenium ended so did the Workhorse Movement...battered and bruised, the next chapter is the dirty americans!

The new material we are working on will have a guitarmony sound and will require three players. We are looking for two players who live in the Detroit Metro area.
What we are looking for:
1. Age 18 to 27 2. Must be a great player. 3. Studio and Live experience a plus. 4. Style of music is pop/rock/alternative/punk 5. Style is a cross between 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Muse, Garbage, and The Used with strong commercial appeal. 6. Lead or Backing vocal capabilities a plus. 7. Ability to write guitar parts for existing melody lines. 8. Must have time to make a commitment and be available for studio and live shows. Currently rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. 9. Will require learning a certain amount of filler cover material. 10. If you have drug or alcohol related issues this probably wouldn't work for you.
A label showcase is scheduled for late February - so time is of the essence.

we know... you're all recovering from C! bein' in the murder mitten and slapping the goodness all o'er yer faces but, as you recover from the last two days and head into yet another evening of debauchery know this; our new album "VAGABOND KINGZ F.T.W." is almost ready. There will be a special listening party/live performance soon at one of our favorite seedy joints in the city with some of our favorite special, seedy guests.
