Hailing from Long Island, New York, THE WORLD WE KNEW is a five piece straight edge metal outfit that is committed to bring innovative and exhilarating material to a stagnant genre of music. Since their early development in September 2004 the band has gone through several line-up changes and eventually hit the road in 2006. Within a couple years (and vans) and a now solidified line-up, their appetite for success and doing what they love is clearly demonstrated through their relentless touring. During this time, their skills and their devoted following have escalated drastically catching the attention of North Carolina's Seventh Dagger Records whom they would later sign with in early 2007 and release their 1st full length "Exordium" in September 2007. Unfortunately; however, their luck came to a halt in a recent accident destroying their equipment, their trailer, and severely damaging their van while on tour. The World We Knew on the other hand, walked away without a scratch, but rather a new found determination. With TWWK's unyielding touring history and exceptional musicianship, they have truly proven to their fans and themselves that this is only the beginning of the great heights they are prepared to rise above and beyond.
