We are a 3 piece punk band with ska influences, hardcore influences, and overall rock influences.
Starting the in Fall of 2004, Sam Ascioti, Mike Bein, and Dom Ascioti started this band in response to the growing sentiment of disgust they felt towards the Bush regime. Confident he wouldn't be re-elected, the group named themselves The Worst 4 Years; unfortunately, the American public was dumb enough to re-elect the man. However, the name stuck. From 2004-2007, the band actively played throughout Western Massachusetts and Connecticut, as they tried to bridge the gap of ska music found in CT with the remnants of the "punk" scene found in Western MA. This was a failing endeavor, as the scene has pretty much dried up during this time period. Towards the end of 2007, Frank Ascioti, the twins' younger brother, stepped in briefly to play lead guitar, but the band had decided to part ways for the time. In December of 2007, TW4Y hung up the act as the Ascioti brothers began to focus on their ska band, Skasome Society!. However, as the Summer of 2009 looms on the horizon, there is a stir in the air, one that asks "When will we see the return of TW4Y?"
The answer may be sooner than you think.
