"This story actually showed shades of James Cheetham in its internal conflict. James Cheetham was SNM author of the year." Steven Marshall on 'The voice within'
"This is a great collection of gripping stories from Black Hound. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride the stories induced. This is a first time publication of stories from Black hound and am eagerly awaited their next publication. Great first effort!!" Liza Rudder on 'Atrum Tempestas'

"A cause for celebration!" David Simms(HorrorWorld.org) on 'Darkened Horizons: Issue 5'

(Why I write...)
(TRUE STORY:)
The book that changed my life isn't necessarily the greatest piece of fiction to ever grace this world, nor is it even a top pick amongst the fans of this certain author, but the book titled 'Bag of Bones' by. Stephen King changed my life.
I was working one night, late at a hotel at which I was life-guarding their indoor pool and I found it. It's paperback cover was tattered and worn, it's pages stained with time or misuse, but it's words intact.
Firmly intact.
Needless to say, a life-guarding job is far from exciting, fact is that it was down right fucking boring. Nobody ever came to the pool and I, myself wasn't stupid enough to get into a pool that my slacker-ass had never truly cleaned.
Thank God for Chlorine, but no brush work.
Anyway, I took the book as my own. I read it all in one shift--an 8 hour sitting--but found myself engulfed in the story like never before. Sure, I admit it, I was more of a TV guy back then--at the age 17--but this book seemed to leap from the page and I saw it--the written word--in a new light.
Books revealed their power to me. The power to entrance one's mind, alter one's soul and even serve as a form of time travel for a weary worker in need.
I read it many times and still possess the tattered book, though it was far from my last read. Books and the written word became an obsession like that of which I couldn't fulfill--an insatiable blood lust, so to speak--but all the same it lead me to where I am today, to the life of an aspiring novelist with nothing but time on his hands and opportunity in his way.
(Quotes)
For me, it's not about being the next Stephen King, but instead truly defining rather anybody will really want to be the next Stephen W. Roberts.
The human condition is a monotonous triviality, though it’s marginally superior to the alternative...
Your problem isn't what you don't know, it's what you don't know you don't know.
To find contentment whilst trudging through the bleak monotonous triviality that is best known as the human condition must be like taking your first breath. It’s so pristine, so invigorating and most of all so inexplicably petrifying.
Talent and knowledge is useful in the game of writing, but insanity is nothing short of a trade requirement.
We make our own existence into what it is, both reality and normality are but illusions that we may optimistically control. Pessimism is the acceptance of what has come to pass and the reluctance to change it.
No person can see their way through the darkness and surpass their monsters without a beacon of hope, no horror scene possesses the power of that of love.
In the darkest of times when the world is on it's knees and all faith has worn thin, there will always be a beacon of hope for those willing to look...for those willing to put down their guns and silence their words of hate, for those willing to look within themselves.
Heaven and Hell are not merely choices or sentences for the afterlife, but instead choices we must make and sentences we must serve daily. We all possess the abilities and attributes of the greatest saints and the most vial sinners, but the real question is who we chose to be when it matters. A person isn't defined by what they believe or what they think, but really by what they do. Remember that actions speak louder than words when you weigh the good and the bad, accept them both with much forgiveness for yourself, reach deep inside, look into the mirror without a vale and the answer will be crystal clear.
Idol hands are the Devil's playthings, but an idol heart is useless even to him.
Like two lovers in a field of flowers, I continually race toward my avid reader.
When life gives you lemons...you squeeze citric acid in the eye of a cheeky deity.
The eyes play tricks on the mind, making the deepest waters appear shallow when still.
The only guarantee after your first breath is your last, so why not take this tragedy and give it the happily ever after it so rightfully deserves?
I write of faith and love, I believe in the concept and even celebrate it...but I'm no thespian. I'm smart enough to know that when you apply knowledge or reason to such concepts that all you can end with is misery. Therefore I deduce that one must choose between the brain and the heart, sacrificing one for the other.
Give to a good man all that he requires to eradicate evil, and before he is finished you will wonder why evil has switched sides.
It's a writer's right to write, right?
Don't fear death, fear life unlived.
Life's not about being who they want you to be, it's about being yourself and finding someone who lives to love you for it.
Who I'd like to meet: I'm inspired by dreamers who take action and those who aren't meretricious. Good friends for good conversation, writing jobs/connections and of course...her.
Courage is not the absense of fear, but rather the judgement that something is more import than fear...the brave may not live forever, but the cautious never live at all.
Nobody is long for this world; therefore you must do what makes you happy, surround yourself with those who make you smile, laugh nearly as often as you breath and love as long as you live.
This music player contains many songs by Brenda L. Morin, all amazing, though one song--Titled 'Stephen'--that was written by this dear friend of mine and sang just for me, which is something that I'll cherish for the rest of my days. Thanks Bren...Thanks for being my close friend and #1 fan, practically since day one!

Thank you Stephen, today I really needed a friend to come true for me, been through something really hard last night and you made me feel better, you are a wonderful friend!
I've been sick the past two days but I'm starting to feel better now. Been training really hard at the gym for over a month now, got back to my health weight 13 months sooner than I envisioned. Planning to find an new apartment for the summer, some wonderful people will be added to my family. My kids are doing good and my job still sucks! LOL
I agree, I adore Steve :) I just started submitting my writing this year and "The Rock Garden" was the first to be picked up. Steve has been endlessly helpful and a great friend. Looking forward to seeing what you have for us in December!
