"Great song and video, Good Work, Keep it up."- RHETT MILLER, commenting on "The Town and The City", by The Writers Club
"Concise and oddly confident.....think Feist with a penis and the face of a choir boy....you can't argue with zeitgeist and those who capture it....hailing from philadelphia and wailing and keening....a joyful noise.... fetching acoustic pop that can do double duty as the soundtrack to both your young and hip life and as the mating call to affected art school girls from Boston to Baton Rouge."-ROCKPILE (A.K.)
"Bringing the crowd to near tears at some points and joy at others"-CHARLESTON ELEPHANT ZINE
"A must have record for anyone, but most appealing to those in their twenties and those in their eighties, a record that recalls the beauty of the old days with the tragedy and sometimes hope of the new, the only wonder we have is how these guys aren't on a big record label yet."- ENGLAND MUSIC JOURNAL, UK
Formed from the great Wolfean American vision, of trains pouring steam onto the land ....
a pause, someone at the door, a friend comes in and sits in the corner, picks up a book, Harvest Poems by Carl Sandburg and ignores the whole interview) ... you know, just problems, fights, a lot of evil kids, they just didn't get the big picture, they were too soft, too european minded, they didn't see the great vision of a new america I had, one that wasn't cynical and one that still saw the bright wonder behind all those buildings and sprawl
i'm really glad you added me. the music is very melodic. the voice overides the tunes a little too much, but that might be your style, and i like it. so spit some more out so i can hear it.
Good seeing ya the other day. You'll have to stop by when I'm not working late and we'll hit up the casino with your pops. Anyways, let me know when you got shows coming up, I want to hit up some for the new incarnations of the band.
You are a gentlemen's gentleman. Don't tell me... you carry around a variety of fancy handkerchiefs and a white gold monacle. Oh and don't forget the leather glove for challenging random street duels.
thank you for sifting me out of space. i think i saw you play at the dive about a month ago..i recognize your guitar..but it may have been someone else.. either ways.. here's my noises:
you are becoming the cool keith of indie roots...which isnt bad but i think youd be more famous if u had one name for awhile...and also alan writes very well im gonna hafta make him review my cookies
i love love your voice...i really think you might be the dark knight or something you know the purest of purest of purest of purest of evil....black blood and all...but you sure do have a beautiful beautiful voice and a pretty face.
The best for this New Year!! Hope you are ok, and kid please I want to hear you in everywhere :D so hope this year you could record something, and don't forget to tell me, ok ;)
