Trains and subways, physics books and banjos. Chinese food and neighborhoods and women, booze and latin music, irish jigs and railroads, Scarlett Johanssen, Chicago weather and Minnesota lakes. Stop Lights and Long freeways. Jaco and Gadd, new mandolins and old girlfriends. Sam and Jimi, Each other, loose women, cheap beer and expensive fines, front porches and back-yard parties. Stevie and Bela. Amsterdam and Italy, Lunar eclipses (moonbows). old houses and new roads... and VAN HALEN, definately Van Halen.
The legend of the Wu-Li Masters reaches back all the way to the summer of 2003, in which the ultimate book of wisdom brought 3 young musicians together and moved them to forge some of the best songs that the Earth has ever seen....Later, Mr. Rooney galloped up on horseback with his drum kit and JFG arrived with the sweet, sweet sounds of the fretless bass to complete the circle of Wu-Li. This 5 headed force will take you through a musical journey, from bluegrass to funk, rock to reggae, to hell and back. Be sure to always get there early, since sightings of the Wu-Li Masters have become increasingly rare in frequencey and exotic in location.....
What book you ask? "The Dancing Wu-Li Masters" by Gary Zukov, . The rest is history....
