The Year's Best is sincere pop. Influences like Elvis Costello, Marshall Crenshaw, Superdrag and everything in between color the melodies and song construction of this Burlington, Vermont based band. Starting out with the acoustic framework of Mike Wheeler and Adam Fuller in the year 2002, The Year's Best has evolved, incorporating the smooth vocal harmonies and unique bass stylings of Sean Martin and the fluid and energetic drumming of Kevin Bell. In 2005, after the successful release of "It's Not Easy Being Me Around You," their first album as a complete band, Adam picked back up the electric guitar, which proved to further compliment the sound that had been developing during the band's years as an acoustic group. Always striving to write stronger and more original songs while keeping them based around their trademark traits, The Year's Best is seeing their efforts unfold to the surprise and enjoyment of every audience they play.

....
Kurosawa is a musical collaboration between Paul Cartwright, Adam Spellicy and Karen Vogt. The result is a graceful collision of soaring, ethereal vocals and lushly atmospheric, infectiously melodic acoustic and electronic sounds.
