We have a lot of different influences...but mostly extreme jungle pop that can only be heard in the far regions of South Africa and Timbuktu. Britney Spears and N Sync are also very big parts and influences in our life....oh yeah, and we can't forget the original and unique Ashlee Simpson. We also like flutes a lot...we wish we could have put them in.
In July of 2005 Dia and Ian decided they should hang out once more before Dia left town. They hung out at Ian's house and naturally found themselves in the music room. Dia started playing a song on piano and Ian followed along on drums. They decided to record the jam session and then overdub guitars and bass. It was recorded on a cheap multitrack recording unit and kind of mixed before going online. They had no idea it would be played over 60,000 times and become a favorite song of Meg and Dia fans.

I gotta question for you. When you play shows, have you ever told a crowd, that they are the best crowd you have ever had? I just got back from Warped and a couple of bands told us we were the best crowd they've had on Warped. It's not really a big deal, but I've always wondered if they really mean it or not. I don't really see Minnesota as being a land mark spot.
Ian, Haha! Insomniac, little bit cool. Vampire, way bit cool.
And that's good to hear that you and Dia are still on good terms. Maybe my friends are just weirdos. They just create bands so they can live the "rock star" life. Not what music should be about.
And when are you taking your act on the road man? I'd like to see some Ian Shane shows.
Ian, Golly, what are you doing up at 6?! Too many Monsters and Red Bulls?
And ya, that little band of hers does seem pretty busy (Not that I actually know). She still cool with you and stuff though? I know a lot of friends who join bands and think they are way to cool to hang out.
Ian, Haha. I've chatted on their message boards before. Just a bunch of 15 year old d-bags mixed in with some 22 year old d-bags. I guess when you're that obsessed over a band, you can't tell real from fake.
Anywho, I'm friends with your music page and that shit is good dude, keep it up. Do you and Dia ever hang out anymore?
