Ein Mann, seine Stimme, seine Gitarre und die Liebe zur Rockmusik. Diese Zusammensetzung ergibt dann YOGY der seit den frühen 80er Jahren Songs schreibt.
Sein erstes Album „Flying with the jellyfish“, was YOGY selbst eingesungen und die Instrumente selbst eingespielt hat, ist dieses Jahr erschienen.
Der Sound von Yogy..s Werken verleitet dazu bangender Weise im Auto, vor dem PC oder wo sonst auch immer zu sitzen. Rockige Gitarrenklänge gepaart mit dem rhythmischem Beat des Schlagzeuges und einer Stimme mit Gänsehaut Potenzial erwarten uns.
Meine persönlichen Favoriten auf dieser Scheibe sind:
„Our Democrat“ - dieser Song hat Ohrwurmgarantie!!!! Aber auch “Waitin’ for the Night” hat es mir angetan, weil es, im Gegensatz zu den anderen Tracks, eine sehr schöne ruhige Nummer ist und zum kuscheln und träumen einlädt. Was ja gerade jetzt zur kälteren Jahreszeit ja immer schön ist.

This is a strange but beautiful lil' record, completely homemade by the mastermind YOGY. It's basicly heavyrock of the melodic kind with a gentle touch of powerful AOR, made to be played in the arenas of this world and to roar out of your car stereo speakers while you go nuts on the highway with a can of beer in your hand and the amp turned up to eleven. This music smokes completely, due to it's roots within the greatest classic heavy rock stuff from UFO to PRAYING MANTIS to more krautish stuff like FAITHFUL BREATH and CACUMEN or SCORPIONS, but always with a very undergroundish, slightly obscure expression. This is one of those local band records similar to late 70s legends such as CRYSYS, TOTTY, BAD AXE and LODESTONE, where the melodies come creeping out of the speakers while the guitarman goes wild with boiling and steaming leads above the crunchy chords. YOGY is a traditional thinking rawker, he gives a damn about the trends from the last 25 years, he's heavy rawk and he'll stay it until the day he dies. I can recommend this album to everybody into more obscure but still catchy heavy metal rock of the old days. If this was from 1979, today people would go insane to get a copy. Guy Lenage

Mein Name ist Yogy und ich möchte auf dieser Seite mich und meine Musik vorstellen. Seit den frühen 80er Jahren spiele ich Gitarre und schreibe Songs. Einige dieser Songs habe ich auf meiner ersten Solo-CD "flying with the jellyfish" verewigt. Dieses Album habe ich selbst eingesungen, alle Instrumente eingespielt und abgemischt.
