The Youngs are
Tim Young on guitar and vocals and Eryn Young on drums, sampler and vocals.
Tim has played with Wayne Horvitz's Zony Mash and Sweeter than the Day forever, Varmint with Wayne and Robin Holcomb, V with Paul Moore, Very Special Forces, THRUSTER! with Matt Chamberlain and Kaveh Rastegar, as well as appearing with a ton of people such as David Sylvian, Bill Frisell, Eyvind Kang, Michael White, Julian Priester, Sam Rivers, Obo Addy, Sam Ang Sam, Bloodbunny, Brian Reitzell etc. etc. In 1997 he released a very special album called "Timothy Young..with Very Special People".
Eryn had a band with Ivory Smith that was called Honey, and then Bloodbunny. She has a dance/music ensemble called Foot in Mouth with Ivory, Alice de Muizon and Amelia Reeber, an Ennio Morricone cover band with John Schuller called Slalom. She's also currently working on her first solo project called Tigers and Butterflies.
Sometimes, the Youngs are a duo, a trio, a quattro or a five piece chicken dinner. Once in Idaho, they were a one-piece. In the case of some of the above scenarios - joining The Youngs are...
John Schuller plays bass in The Youngs. He has recorded/performed with Master Musicians of Bukkake, Asva, Earth and in 2002 released his solo recording "Lesser Angel of Failure". He also currently plays with Gigantum. and Slalom.
Clifford Novey plays guitars in The Youngs and was born and growded up fast. He loves musical things and plays musical things with good musical making friends. He looks forward to seeing you at a good musical making event soon!
Branden Harper is still not telling us who he is....OK, well maybe he is. Besides The Youngs, Branden plays in Re:Agent with Tim, has performed or recorded with tons of people and bands such as Master Musicians of Bukkake, Nels Cline, Eyvind Kang, Tool and even Hillary Fucking Duff. If the Captain and Tennille were into dark progressive space rock, they might have really lit the world on fire. Thirty years later the Youngs have emerged to fill the void. Their catchy, well-crafted songs will make us all shed a tear for love and death, in true heavy mellow style.
