The Young Sons, founded in 2007, were a rock band from North Carolina, co-fronted by singers/writers Jon Lindsay and Justin Williams. John Cates was the only drummer in the group's history, but there were two bassists: originally Justin Turner, and later, Mike Mitschele, who also did some vocals in the band as well. Though there were several recording sessions in the life of the band, The Young Sons made only one full-length album, 2008's "Hearts Inc." Resulting from post-breakup disagreements between Williams and the rest of the band [the rest of the band was fine with simply releasing all the tracks] a handful of tracks were left off of the record when it saw digital release. "Hearts Inc." was recorded in Chapel Hill, NC, at Max Indian's Old Pillow Studios, and additional tracking was done by the Houstons' Justin Faircloth at his home in Charlotte, NC, and also with Chris Walldorf at Charlotte's Sioux Sioux Studios.
