Formed in the Fall of 2006 by Paul and Rob. The Zygoats spent many months rehearsing and searching for the right drummer. Eventually a formidable character emerged named Crash Landing. He brought with him an extraordinary drum kit and a goat skull. After several months of practicing in living rooms, converted chicken shacks, industrial warehouse spaces, and an octagon on a hill, a stinky, premium rehearsal space was secured with some of the finer rock bands in Arcata. A 5 song demo was recorded at Fire Planet Studios on 7/23/07 and was released at Jambalaya on 8/24/07. It’s now available at shows or contact for mail order details. Crash Landing recorded his last demo w/ us on 2/18/08 which will be released later this summer. The Zygoats welcome new drummer Sean Pitney AKA Zen Bowler to the band.
