About Thickets of Alchemy

Thickets of Alchemy started off when Andrew Sutton and Tom Gregory ended up in the same Year 11 Physics class. The two struggled to find a band name, constantly trying to find one through physics educational videos. Then one 'fortunate' day they stumbled upon the term 'the thickets of alchemy'. It was agreed that this was to be the name... but more affectionately known as TOA.

The two jammed with many different people until finally Tom Sullivan was chosen as guitarist and singer. Soon Murray joined on bass and TOA came up with around 10 songs. They recorded 'Child EP' which consisted of five songs in their very early stages. Around this time TOA were asked to perform in front of their school. They performed Neon Wine in front of 1000 bored and tired school boys at assembly.

As school came to an end the band took a bit of a break. Recently Max Headerle has joined the band as singer with Sully becoming a 2nd guitarist.
