Did you know?
Clowns are also notoriously lucky!!! To the degree that many superstitions are inverted with a clown, and curses placed against a clown will inevitably benefit the clown and curse the curser. Clowns often hold the only position in society where they can get away with outright blasphemy against the clergy and government.
My interest lie in Face Paint, Bells, Whistles, Chattering Teeth, Animation, Bright Colors, Martinis, Horns, She-Clowns, Gags, Slapstick, but I cannot stand mimes or harlequins or anyone who does not honor THE CODE!
The Code of Non-Infringement (or "The Code") refers to the accepted business practice and custom among certain performance artists, particularly clowns, that an artist's unique performance attributes are proprietary and cannot be used or claimed by another. Among clowns, these attributes may include stage names, costume elements, facial designs, as well as a clown's specific jokes or "gags" and "bits".
According to the code, no two performers may have exactly the same face or costume. Clown performers believe that the code is independent of any protection that may be afforded by the law, particularly intellectual property law.
In Britain, as recognition of The Code, each clown has their own clown face painted onto an eggshell and no two eggs can be alike!
