About me:
my name is bruce. i'm a 29 year old graphic designer (and co-owner of ceive). i'm married to a lovely girl named julie. we have 3 amazing kids, simon (3) and violet (1) and oliver (0). i live in turlock, california, a little slice of nowhere smack dab in the middle of the state. i love my friends even though i have a very poor way of showing it most of the time. once upon a time, i sang for a band called mr. smarty pants. we played dorky ska/punk and amused ourselves as much as (if not more than) the audiences we played for. after that, i was in a short-lived band called the ultimate skateboard. we played what jericho called "rock and roll with beauty and chaos" or what might have been called "emo" at the time, but music that bore very little resemblance to what would now be termed such. since then, i've flirted with (and occasionally consummated) a few other musical endeavors, but never really had a steady band. this is something that makes me kind of sad, as i treasured every moment of my time in both bands. my newest attempt to get the music that's in my head out into the air is learning to play the guitar, but it's pretty slow going as i kinda suck. i welcome any and all messages, but i usually only add people i know personally as friends.
