Third Eye Butterfly was a Queens, NY-based alternative pop/rock band that was formed in 1985. The band featured John Julian Gallo (Guitar/Vocals), Charles Caracciolo (Drums/Vocals) and Carol Caracciolo (Bass). In February 1986, they debuted at The Dive and then went on to play all over New York City and beyond. In 1987, TEB added their song "Black and White Dream" to the compilation "The Bands That Ate New York Vol. 2" on Natural Enemies Records. Late in 1991, the band released a 7-song EP entitled "What The Thunder Said" on Psycho-Pop Records. Later that same year, their song "Clouded Eyes" appeared on the compilation "Hear No Evil Vol. 1" on Galt Records. TEB next appeared on 1994's "Hear No Evil Vol. 2" with their song "Everything Falls Apart". The band also contributed to the Sound Views Records compilation "Step On A Crack Vol. 2". Over the next few years, The Butterfly released three 7" singles: "Everything Falls Apart"/"Skin" (Psycho-Pop Records, 1993); "Life is Elsewhere"/"Play With The Rainmaker" (Psycho-Pop Records, 1994); and "Something Happened"/"All The Way To Riyadh" (Psycho-Pop Records", 1995).
