I spend too much time: on my computer, online, on photoshop, and playing with css / thinking about cars, sound systems, and girls / paying attention to statistics that aren't important / giggling internally at linguistic and grammatical jokes / conceptualizing over-board multimedia art experiments / wishing i had money and a crappy car so i could Pimp-My-Ride, Walmart Style! / silently creating analogies for everything / looking up interesting information / making silly lists.
I'm a fan of: off-beat movies, idm, girls that are a bit exotic, rock, quick beautiful cars, hiphop, high clarity audio and video, emo-ish stuff, my supra, artsy films, tiny things, original art, macs, california, some rap, anaolgies, my iPod, intuitive interfaces, good vocabularies (without going overboard with the rhetoric) and on and on.
I mostly disapprove of: nu-metal, new-wave goth anything, movies like Dare Devil, Pearl Harbor, and Triple X, self-proclaiming-smart-people, cheesy techno, corruption (Insurance, RIAA, the US Medical System, this list could go on forever) dishonor, most radio popular music (but not all), the lowest common denominator, frivolous lawsuits...

Interests:
I am much into photography these days... photography of all types. 35mm, medium format, digital, digital lofi, toy cameras, etc. There's nothing like hand-developing though, so i dont think i'll ever go full digital.
I'm into making / slicing music, tools of choice are Reason 3.0, Apple's Soundtrack for simple mixing, and so on. I edit/mix music for dance routines a buddy of mine coordinates, and work on making music whenever i get the chance / energy. ...I also recently did some audio work for theater productions, which was pretty cool. I'm just really into audio in general; not just music.
I'm also into Final Cut these days... i've always been into video editing (and shooting; framing, composing, camera movements...) but until i got Final Cut i was kind of annoyed with the software. Final Cut is sick, and now i'm into editing video more than i ever was.
I want to get more into Printmaking, and i'm trying to find out what my options around here are: i cant afford a press, but there may be one i can rent or use or something. Printmaking is ill and i want to get more of that action.
If i ever get the motivation, and a few bucks, i'm in to cars... i'd like to get my '89 Toyota Supra Turbo shining, and running at around 325 - 350hp/torque, which isn't that drastically much more power than it already has. ...that would take around $4k, so i dont think it's happening any time soon. (i'll work it piece by piece though.)
I'm also a wanna-be film nerd, photographic junkie, website designer, graphics designer, music snob, art fag, tech toy fan, etc. My interests are spread thinner every day.
(the above video gets good after about the 1:00 minute mark)
Disclaimer: i generally forget about myspace.com for months at a time, then suddenly i'll think about it and go around looking at profiles etc. Then, again, invariably i'll loose interest and forget about it for a couple more weeks. ...just lettin' ya know. :)
Who I'd like to meet: i sorta use this place as a keep-track-of-people-i-already-know sort of deal... but i guess if i were to meet people, it'd be people with somewhat similar interests who can defend an opinion. people who like to do things, and might actually DO those things in real life with me. i'm not all that interested in digital-only relationships.... though if it is only digital, i appreciate anyone with whom i can talk about music, films, books, photography, art, philosophy, etc.
This weekend flew by waaaaay too fast! Thanks for the awesome movie night, I'll have to watch it again sometime. You should watch (more) Flight of the Conchords.
diggin' the profile pic, i am glad your 3D self is now represented by an obviously 2D image.
nothing much to report, but that i fiend for a certain edIT track. praytell, you should send it as an attachment, i would be willing to... donate money to an environmental cause in your name (but not too much... i just gave 40 for the little pond we call lake michigan. it's pretty great... about as much as that previous joke wasn't).
hope youre well. should i stop by the "ish" sometime? i remember it vaguely, but i am automotively challenged as you well know...
