Is that a weird mix of people or what?

“Forty years from now, when the world looks back on this new age of folk, Third Road Home will be riding high on the list of genre-defining artists. Call it the ‘Colorado sound’ if you will. I just call it great music.” – Kenny Hart, Indie-Music.com
“One of the best CDs of 2004” – The Indie Acoustic Project, www.indieacoustic.com
“It's absolutely essential for your acoustic collection!” – Zoe Montana, host of RadioIO Acoustic, www.radioio.com
“Acoustic folk rock has never sounded so good!”
– Heather Corcoran, www.coffeehousetour.com
Insightful, heartfelt, and enchanting only begin to describe Third Road Home. The Colorado couple combine eloquent lyrics and soaring harmonies with expressive instrumentation and a genuine, down-to-earth style. It is a soul-stirring blend of earthy Americana that is as evocative, compelling, and ethereal as it is warm and accessible. Like sipping Irish coffee on the porch of a mountain cabin at sunset, Third Road Home’s music lifts your spirit and cures what ails you.
Never truly fitting into one category or definition, the components of Third Road Home’s signature sound have drawn interesting comparisons. Many comment that their harmonies are reminiscent of BoDeans and Indigo Girls while Trinity’s songwriting evokes shades of Sarah McLachlan and Heather Nova. They have found a following amongst traditional folkies and rock fans alike, exhibiting a genuine enjoyment of making music that draws listeners in no matter what the venue.
In January 2004, Third Road Home released their debut CD, “Venus In Retrograde.” This introspective collection of songs is continually lauded by reviewers and listeners alike for its intimate and conversational tone. “Listening to this CD is like a deep tissue massage, some lyrics hit hard, but it makes you feel released and strengthened in the end,” writes one. “Great lyrics, crystal clear pitch-perfect vocals, superb instrumentation, great variety, perfect production, what more can you ask?” proclaimed RadioIO Acoustic channel host Zoe Montana, “it’s absolutely essential for your acoustic collection.”
In a short time, Third Road Home has accomplished much. Some highlights include…
* “Venus In Retrograde” named “one of the best CDs of 2004” by The Indie Acoustic Project (finalist in the Acoustic Ensemble category);
* "Whatever Is" chosen for inclusion in mvyradio's Fresh Produce ..1 CD Sampler, available nationwide through the Coalition of Independent Music Stores and CDBaby.com;
* Over 300 shows at a variety of venues and functions, sharing the stage with Mollie O’Brien, Ben Winship, Wolfstone, Susan Gibson, L.J. Booth, Holly Figueroa, Rachael Sage, and others;
* Multiple tracks from “Venus In Retrograde” in regular rotation on both commercial and community radio stations, and internet radio stations throughout the country;
* “Whatever Is” selected for the 2004 New Song Showcase at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas and for inclusion in the Oskar Blues/Colorado Music Association Sampler CD;
* and “Venus In Retrograde” chosen as one of the Top 35 Music Projects of the Year in both Kweevak Music Magazine’s 2005 “Reader’s Survey” and "Editor's Choice" awards.
Tom is taking a break from performing, but is still recording with Trinity. Trinity's solo CD "Crucible" will be released in February 2009.
"A TRIBUTE TO HOPE"
Trinity recently released this video to her song "This I Can Do" which appears on "Crucible." The video "A Tribute to Hope" is a musical and photographic tribute to the everyday Americans who held out for hope and worked to elect President Barack Obama. This video represents a collaboration between musical artist Trinity Demask and photographer/visual artist Anahi DeCanio, who through their respective art forms captured the spirit of a nation hungry for change.
