Chris, the founder and leader of 3TL, started the band back in 2003 for a laugh with friends, but soon it materialised into something more beautiful than sex. Chris has been the longest serving member of the band and remains the face of 3TL. With various line up changes over the years he is looking forward to the band evolving into a band that every young musician dreams of being in.
His ability to write and play songs relevant to the style of the band is second to none. His constant jokes about his friends being gay and parents from outer space has evolved into catchy easy listening tunes that everyone enjoys.

ROLE IN BAND: DRUMS, PERCUSSION
Carl is the second longest serving member of 3TL and officially the only chav of the band. With a limited vocabulary Carl makes up for his lack of speech in the most kick arse drumming you will ever hear. You won't miss Carl standing in the crowd cos apart from being very tall as well (at a conservative 6'3") he's usually wearing one of his bright yellow t-shirts - but that only brings out Carl's inner self!

Post initiation, Matt is the newest addition to the band and probably the best looking person on the amateur music scene to date (according to him) and with his god-like stage presence and indescribable style he is fast becoming the definition of 3tl and has begun the process of taking Chris's lead riffs and passing them off as his own. He is also the inventor of the "Alys jump"
Matt's influences (ok favourite artists) are Sum 41, Hell Is For Heroes and Finch.
He's also about 5'11" in height which makes him the new official short-arse of the band.
TOWN: Findon
PROFESSION: Pants Dept Manager (Manager of the Pants Dept, not a pants Dept Manager)
PREFERRED PROFESSION: Musician
FUTURE PROFESSION: Bassist
ROLE IN BAND: BASS & VOCALS
One of the founding members of 3tl, Duncan returns to add some depth into the band (and not to mention height at 6'+). With fluent bass lines and deep vocals he completes the line up and takes the band back to its roots. At 24 he is the grandad of the band, but a 'spring bunny'.
Chris is currently working on a new tune whose working title is "Matt wishes he was as as tall as those other three bastards!"
Influences
Influenced by the punk rockers of today, this brings a pop-punk style to the band with the sounds of Blink182, Alkaline Trio and Greenday.
We were recently chosen as the South East Finalists of the BT Battle of the Bands/Isle of Wight Festival competition to have a chance to play on the MAIN STAGE at this year's Isle of Wight Festival! We didn't win but we did have a good day and it was a great experience. Thank you very much to all of you who did vote. xxx
We're a POWER POP band influenced by the likes of Blink 182 & Alkaline Trio.
We write all our own songs! Great melodies, funky bass line and kick ass drumming; the Band is a four piece with big potential and big ideas!
Our story has been of success from the start. Four guys met using the power of the internet and it all started in a small practice room at Ivy Arch Studios in Worthing.
So, in a nutshell:
* 2006 We won Cravintunez Entertainment Battle of the Bands - 100 bands entered
* 2007 'UK Battle Of The Bands' getting to the final in Manchester and the band finished runners up in the 'Best Band' Category
* 2008 Finished 8th in the 'Top 10' of the UK 'Beat The Mix' competition
* 2008 - got through to the Final of the BT.com/IOW FESTIVAL competition
* 2008 1st September will see the release via www.indiestore.com/3tl of "Alys"
