About me:
The first issue of my zine focused on tabloid papers and their use of language and sensationalism.
It is a special thing I am doing for fun and for serious.
I like making things
I am making zines and each zine will be probably used in conjunction with a band that I love.
The artwork is all by me, Rinnie, but I think I am enlisting some contributers for the next issue so I don't get lonely here at Hilton mansions.
I don't really have a personal vendetta against Paris, but everytime I read a taboid for my research, there she was..it seemed rude to leave her out!
With each new zine there will be a nice gig, with cake and the opportunity for bands to also create artwork, i want to acknowledge the cohesiveness of art and popular culture.
Bands confirmed for the first gig were TIGER FORCE, OPTIMIST CLUB and ABIMAKESMUSIC!! it was at the horse and groom, 26 curtain road, near old street station, on the 8th May at 8pm...THANKYOU to all that came and made it sucessful and all that! there will be fun fun fun at the next one too!
My initial zine [ Syntax Error! ] concentrated on tabloid media, it's use of language and sensationalism, this seems to be a pre-occupation of mine as of current, so it is expected that the next one will run with similar themes.
