Hakkımızda This A.M. Static [w/ The Sunstreak Nov 28th!!]
T
his A.M. Static is an eclectic indie rock
band from Rochester, NY. Their unique
musical style blends rock, pop, and
electronic music with elements of
orchestral, punk, and dance music
to create a versatile sound.
This A.M. Static is influenced by a wide
array of artists ranging from
Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails
to Justin Timberlake and David Bowie.
The band was formed in 2007
by James Moore and Jordan Bork,
who met in a Doors tribute band.
When that got tired of that, the band broke up,
and Jordan and James decided to start
something new.
It got off to a rocky start.
For 3 months the idea festered till Jordan
got fed up and said "are we gonna do this?"
James agreed that they were taking too long
to get this started. But, They were waiting for
Jon to move to Rochester from Pennsylvania.
Jon played in a band with James a long time ago,
before meeting Jordan. James believed that
Jon would be perfect for this band.
And he was right.
For a short time it was the trio.
Adam Brooks, formerly a
founding member of Karma Tracing Skies,
joined up and brought in the missing element.
His scene music influence made all the difference.
Adam suggested they get
Dave Smith, Another founding KTS member
to play bass.
After a month of practice, the current line up
for TAMS, went back out and played in small
venues for even smaller crowds. But not for long...
The name This A.M. Static actually
has nothing to do with radio frequencies
or electricity. The intended translation
is "This day never changes", which was
completely pulled out of the ether.
