Bio
Chris Athorne, Lee Wilkins, Mark Willis and Nikk Butcher are This Boy Wonders. The sound they push out runs through a variety of genres and styles, ranging from stripped back acoustic folk, to indie electric. The lead singer Chris has been writing songs for just under four years; what started out as just a guy with an acoustic guitar has now grown into a four piece band. This has resulted in the amalgamation of four experienced musicians, allowing them to bring their individual influences to Chris's songs and performances. After forming at the end of 2008, This Boy Wonders have completed two full ep's and have been involved with Suffolks branch of BBC Introducing where they were part of an Introducing tour. Also, after impressing with a live performance at the 2010 Music for Life summer festival in Suffolk, they now find themselves being booked to play at the 'The O2 Academy' in London. In February 2011 frontman Chris was invited by BBC Radio 1 introducing to attended an exclusive Musicians master class held at Abbey Road Studios. Where he was able to meet and talk to such names as Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley and Mark Ronson. -

Influences
With the eclectic style TBW push through it suggests many and varied musical influences some of which weigh heavily on their shoulders! However, they still manage to carry a sound that is completely original. Some describe it as 'unclassifiable'. They have been compared to heavier bands such as The Black Keys, Kings of Leon and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club right through to more acoustic and soulful bands, as well as artists like Ben Harper, Mumford and Sons and Bon Iver. -
