Bio
...... .... ..This Charming Mystery..’s music is very much a product of its creators, without any real nods to outside influences beyond the broad mainstream of rock and roll itself. There are hints of surf in the predilection for instrumentals. There are nods to classical baroque in the extensive use of counterpoint, traces of garage punk and touches of blues, thrash metal and post rock. The music has grown in a very organic fashion: rather than start off with an ideal such as "Let’s be a blues band", the songs have grown from scratch without any preconceived notions of what they should sound like. .. But there is no attempt to be avant-garde or just plain strange for sake of it. The music in inherently listeneable and often follows standard rock structure with well defined verses, choruses and bridges. In inadvertently dragging in a whole ragbag of influences, the music literally has something for everyone, while remaining intangibly its own. Listen to it and tell us what you think! -

Hi Vince
Re: our Internet radio show.
There are some old shows up at www.themidlifedementiashow.mypodcast.com the first of which has never been podcast before.
Next Tuesdays (4th August) show promises to be a radio first. My wife Jan and I are throwing our silver wedding bash; yes silver, live from Manchester radio online studios. The studio audience/party revellers guest list is now full but give me a nod back here if you would like to be at the studio on the night. Should anyone drop out we should be able to fit you in but the point here is you can join the celebrations via our fantastic satellite link at www.manchesterradioonline.com from 7pm 4th August. Send us messages of congratulations on the night to studio@manchesterradioonline.com and tell Jan what a hero she is suffering me all these years.
