This City Divided is a Melodic Metal-core band that has emerged from the heart of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. TCD has been around since 2006, and have gone by the Title; This City, Divided, since 2007. They’re style is easily recognizable with their heavy melodic riffs, prevailing and powerful drumming, soft progressive singing, and grueling throat vocals. The bands sound is very inspired by their collaboration for a taste of different genres that mixes and flows well with their style and personality. Their passion for playing music is undeniable and it shows through their success. The four members, Tyler Hemmen (Vocals & Bass) Ben Adams (Guitar) Kelly Jarrett (Guitar & Vocals) and Alex Korn (Drums) have been the original members from the beginning to present. The band over its long history has only been through one member change which was their Former bassist Kyle Watt, who had left in the beginning of 2009. The basis of the band member’s relationships and friendships, passion for playing hard hitting metal music, and their amount of success in the past is the reason they are still around today. Get ready to throw-down in the pits when hearing This City, Divided.
