Felsberg! takes care of the guitars and the little details, and Lawrie uses basslines to discover more about the nature of the universe. Meanwhile, Voitek uses a drumkit to hold them all together as well as he can under the circumstances.
Anna and Michael have been recruited at various times to shimmer a tambourine for the cause. Mark continues to wear a variety of hats, as well as taking the blame for any crapulent lyrics.

Friends have compared This Frozen Star to The Cure, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Franz Ferdinand, The Pixies and even Midnight Oil. Don't believe a word of it.
This Frozen Star play indie rock with Frankenstein-like limbs of folk, blues, pop and psychedelia sewn on: A beautiful monster indeed.
Armed with a healthy disrespect for authority and a modest amount of cash, the group have recorded an EP under the watchful ear of engineer Emerson Bavinton and are currently halfway through their first album. They have played enough live shows to know their way around a stage - and to be able to put in a reliably electrifying live performance.
As for the details, Loz and Mark were in a three-piece band together during 2004/05, but made the decision to part ways with their somewhat under-committed drummer. Together they took hold of the Brisbane grapevine and gave it an almighty shake, and a drummer with the surprising name of Voitek Biskup fell out.
The current band is a bit of a class reunion for Mark and Felsberg!, who were in a couple of groups together in uni - including an industrial project which involved creating music out of things like angle grinders, buckets of spanners and the occasional didgeridoo. The spanners are long gone, but a healthy spirit of experimentation remains.
The results:
Nervous rock spliced together with delicate beauty. Psychedelic postcards from the darker side of midnight. Intergalactic gunslingers kicking ass and taking names.
They say five listens are worth 1000 stupid descriptions.
"When I listen to these guys, I imagine that I am on the open road riding on a motorcycle through the desert, looking at the landscape enjoying my surroundings." - BFR Magazine
"This self-titled EP is a very cleverly-written, cohesive piece of Australian indie rock that recalls some of the greats." - Time Off

You are cordially/collectively invited to rock n roll at the last of the initial official emergent run of shows for The Strange Attractors before we hit the road, paved with gold. It has been a turbulent few months filled with chaos, non-linear dissipative system and such, but now we feel the pull of increasing entropy and the gentle bellows from the flapping butterfly wings... See you on the other side...
