About me: This Is Anfield (.com) was founded and launched in late 2001, the result of a merger between two fans sites at the time. Now, almost five years on we like to think we are one of the most successful and biggest independent Liverpool FC websites around – if not one of the best fans sites for any club.
Over the years we have amassed a huge amount of information, articles and reports. From the ever-ongoing player profiles database, to regular columns and opinions of fans, to news reporting on a day to day basis, we’ve got it all.
More recently though we have decided to cut down our news section of the site and focus on more unique aspects of the site.
We have been featured in/on:
* Sky Sports News (2005)
* Four Four Two Magazine (2005, 2006, 2007)
* GMTV Breakfast Television Show (2005)
* The Mirror Newspaper (2003)
* Shoot Monthly Magazine (2007)
* Match Magazine (2004)
* Golden Past, Red Future publication (2004)
* Official FA Cup semi final and Final Magazines (2006)
* Sunderland AFC Official Matchday Magazine (2007)
* Various fanzines and websites
Our columnists include editors Matt Ladson and Max Munton; esteemed LFC author Paul Tomkins (author 'Golden Past, Red Future' and 'Red Revival'), Keith Perkins, Ste Speed, Neale Graham, Aaron Cutler, Alex Malone and other passionate LFC Fans. We are always looking for new contributors to the site and the editorial team. Feel free to message us to get involved if you are a budding journalist.

19 years ago this day 96 people went to Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday's stadium to watch their team Liverpool Fc progress to another FA Cup Final and they never returned home alive...
Those responsible should be serving long sentences but still they 're enjoying their freedom as if nothing happened. Tabloids still spitting lies about the incident instead of saying at least " I am sorry"
Justice for the 96...
When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of the storm Is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone

Mark this date in your calendars – February 18th 2008. A massive press conference is being planned at Anfield as we speak. The club has been sold to DIC for 375 million pounds that will give the current owners $710 million – a $70 million profit. Al Ansari, CEO of DIC has completed his due diligence process.
The players and staff were made aware of this prior to the Luton game. Rafa's job is safe but he has to bring in an assistant, this will be Gary McAllister. Rick Parry who offended members of DIC last year, will 'step down' and the new owners will bring in David Dein as a replacement.
No more money will be available for transfer's in the January window as the current owners will not sanction any deals, unless players are sold. The Summer will see massive player investment from DIC, believed to be in the region of £85 million + whatever is made from player sales. This could see a transfer budget of around £115 million.
This is not a rumour, and is from the same source that broke the news the Americans had brought the club, four days before it was released and who let it be known that Fernando Torres had signed a deal a full week before the press even got wind of it..!

While I commend your enthusiasm for Rafa and his staying as Liverpool Manager. One must always remember a manager is there to coach and manage a team, other financial specialists are there to sign players the manager would like. A manager's role is not to slate the owners or disrespect there decisions .May be the owners will go public and start questioning Rafa's Decision to leave Torres on the bench when he's fit like Rafa as done, or start having there say on Crouch not appearing as much as he should have done this season. I'm sure Rafa would not like that interference and he does not have that problem, has the owners don't slate him in public. Rafa needs to shut up and mangae the team, end of story.
