Its safe to say that This Is A Standoff isn't your typical band. Members of the band live in three different cities on opposite sides of the country, with over 3000km between them. In the spring of 2007, Standoff took of to Europe on their first tour, having only released two songs on their Myspace page. In fact, the band's first show ever wasn't in any of their hometowns... it was in Rillaar, Belgium.
In the two years since that first show, the band has played more than twenty countries, toured with Strung Out, Millencolin, No Use For A Name, Mad Caddies, Strike Anywhere, and played shows with Bad Religion, NOFX, Lagwagon along the way.
In that time, they have also managed to squeeze out two full length albums, the call and answer of
Be Excited (2007) and
Be Disappointed (2009). The latter was released on a limited pressing of vinyl this past summer.
