Sounds Like
People say that we've fused all our influences to create something quite new and fresh. Echoes of real guitar bands, energy of rock, harmony of soul & the power of ska. We feel we've created our own unique sound...let us know what YOU think?
Geezer was originally formed in 2005 by Robb Swadkins & Darren Phillips. After a turbulent but productive couple of
years, the band line up changed and they were joined by Steven (Jos) Joesbury. This represented a huge leap forward
for Geezer, as Jos brought with him a drive & determination, which hitherto was missing.
The line up was completed with the addition of Chris (Kryten) Marcantonio on drums, whose raw, energetic beats
became the basis from which to build, and the capture of Chris (Champion) Johnston on bass. A former lead guitar
player who converted to bass, bringing with him a subtle yet effective style which is clear for all to hear.
Geezer have headllined at most of the major venues in Birmingham, including supporting Ocean Colour Scene at the
Carling Academy. They are now preparing to travel further afield, with sum 'out of town' dates being organised
presently.
Performing only original material, Geezer have wowed crowds wherever they have played. From Stomping anthems such as
'Stalker' & 'Don't watch the feet', to emotive lyrical journeys such as 'life without you' & 'same old story',
Geezer have something for everyone.
A truly original band, with songs that will make you feel alive. 'Once seen never forgotten' was how the Birmingham
Evening Mail described this band. Superb reviews from BBC radio WM and Red Tv only add to the ever increasing
reputation this band are building.
If you haven't seen Geezer yet, then get yourself along to a gig near you, if you have, you know what we mean.....
