Green Phoenix =
Claire on lead vocals + Angela on rhythm guitar/vocals + Andy on drums.
Each has their own influences + taste perspectives. Claire enjoys listening to Coldplay, Radiohead and Tori Amos among others and grew up in South East London with one of the other members of the band; Angela, her sister...Her favourite colour is green.
Although they share common ground in their appreciation of Alanis Morrisette and Michael Jackson, Angela's tastes lean more toward a Rock n Roll american sound, listening to the likes of Elvis and Johnny Cash. Angela's favourite colour is purple.
Andy shares Claire's passion for Radiohead, but also has an affection for RnB, from Mary J Blige to India Irie. He grew up in Royston town, north of London. His favourite colour is Blue...or red. Add this to their own individual attributes: Claire's unique, often shivering vocal, Angela's flair for strumming which makes the guitar hum + sound like it's singing and finallly Andy's solid, nonchalent beat that collectively knots it. Snip it up, jumble it around + paste it back together + this all mixed up makes for a very interesting + harmonious sound, sitting somewhere between rock & pop + in varying degrees, all the shades in between.
