.. ..Grizzly is not a bear. Grizzly stands for something fuzzy in German. That’s why.

Grizzly is a collaboration of Masi and Ludwig. Grizzly tries to make sense of fantastic Berlin in the beginning of the 21st century where they first met and still live. Combining post-existentialistic elements of punk with pop melodies, they set out to bring some substance into the much abused (and way to much recognised) German-singing music scene.
Pale Music understood Grizzly and featured their metropolitan hymn „Dich“ on Berlin Insane IV and on a Serial Killer Tracks 12“.

At the moment, Ludwig und Masi are writing new songs on Castle Marquartstein. If they feel bored, they shoot clay-pigeons.

Grizzly sind kein Bär. Grizzly sind grizzelig, deshalb.

Grizzly ist eine Kollaboration von Masi und Ludwig. Sie versuchen mit ihren Stücken Sinn in das Berlin zu bringen, in dem sie sich trafen und zur Zeit leben. Mit einer Kombination aus post-existentialistischem Punk und Popmelodien versuchen sie der oft missbrauchten (und viel zu sehr beachteten) deutschsprachigen Musiks etwas Substanz zu verleihen.
Pale Music hat Grizzly verstanden und ihre Großstadthymne „Dich“ auf ihrer Berlin Insane IV und auf der Serial Killer Tracks 12“ veröffentlicht.

Im Augenblick schreiben Masi und Ludwig neue Songs auf Burg Marquartstein. Wenn ihnen langweilig wird, gehen sie Tontauben schießen.

Berlin Insane IV
Still finding ways to mix rock and techno elements together in a post-electro (clash) world, the Berliners featured on Insane IV manage to keep much of their material suprisingly fresh. Though a few tracks do rely too heavily on hackeyed themes (anarchy, androgyny), standouts such as Grizzly’s „Dich“ and Planningtorock’s „Local Foreighner“ take the fun and mayhem of the previous compilations into truly experimental realms. And to tell you the truth, even the more clichéd tracks are fun, in a pure dancefloor kind of way. A good find for someone with no Adult. in their collection.
