Instinctively labeling themselves a Hard Rock/Metal band, 'This is Massacre' have the ability to attract the attention of both young and older audiences alike. Their secret lies in their ability to create a successful and impressive mix of old school and modern melodic riffs and guitar harmonies that will at the very least have you wanting to hear it again. Hardcore and precision drumming and heart felt lyrics blend effortlessly to what is deemed to be 'easy-listening' metal.
It was due to the recent keen interest shown by Hofesh Schecter, the internationally acclaimed contemporary dance choreographer that is This is Massacre were invited to get involved with the specially commissioned event for the 2009 Brighton Festival. Having had this unique and exciting opportunity, coupled with he experience of playing live at the Brighton Dome, their hunger to rise to the next level is a refreshing asset. Having previously played most other venues in Brighton, the band is now ready to channel their energy into spreading their music further a field.
The band are resolute in the statement that 'being able to play live is a prerequisite that is non-negotiable'.
The current line-up includes;

Lew Whittington - Drums
Tom Chilton - Bass + Backing Vocals
Harry Reynolds - Guitar
Originally formed in 2007, the group have gone from strength to strength winning numerous 'battle of the band' competitions despite their young ages and with their expertise and combined experience it won't be long before they make their mark on the music industry.
With the launch of their new E.P on the 13th september, and with the support of the Brighton Dome in light of their recent Brighton Festival achievements, This is Massacre are set to turn more heads and go further than ever before.
