Sounds Like
a rock band meets alternative rock band meets a rock band
(this is not)(this is now) is no longer a functioning band. this is currently considered to be much like a satellite, floating in space. sorry for any confusion.
the previous bio is now, a blog --- (it was way too long): this was what it was shortened to...
(this is not)(this is now) is an alternative rock back, alternative to what, i'm not quite sure, but we're not AC/DC rock, and we're not Men at Work rock, who had two 1 singles in 1982 in the category of "mainstream rock." We are not Men at Work rock.
we are based in Minneapolis. yes, we live here. Uptown, South, Nordeast, we're trying to represent.
right now we are transition, read the blog, and you will find 2007 bringing us to a new slimmed down line-up, a desire to play live and record and album. i just booked our first gig at the 7th Street Entry for April 22. as i kid that went to see his first show at the Uptown Bar, on his bike, at 18, who sat on the seat to watch Killdozer play through the glass, losing hearing to the left side of the stage at 1st Ave., before I got hip to earplugs, seeing countless shows at the entry, it's pretty damn cool.
we're a band that's trying to make good original music, with energy, passion, substance. we're not concerned with the performance, or the performer (although we might get a little nervous at times about that part), we love music, and want to play it live, see where it can take us.
Art involvement and participation is what Art Alley represents. It is part of the participation art and music scene that is expanding in downtown Rapid City.
Art Alley friends are diverse but have something in common. We see a value in art participation and art with less restraint, even art with varying qualities. And there is a little bit of rebel in our blood. There is some power in this diversity and our common bond. You are part of that power.
Art Alley has been threatened in the past and may very well be again. What those threats might be we can't know. It is controversial and as you can imagine some may wish to change or eliminate it. If that happens we hope your voice will be heard.
You can help now by asking your friends and their friends to be a friend of Art Alley.
You are part of the Art!
The very best to you,

How is the most talented photographer on my space doing?
I will see about the show tonight. I am sort of going through a little heartache (bastard men) so I dont know if I should run or drink myself into a stooper...
I'm so sorry we missed you the other night!! We will catch you at Lee's in July, PROMISE. Gotta love the turf club. And I do enjoy the obscurity of being a Sara.
Jayme! You rock :) Happy Vday & Happy Birthday!! So wish I could make the show/party. That dungeon party is DEFINITELY going down in history as one of the best and one of the most debaucherous nights ever.
Stopping by to wish you a terrific 2007! Now we want to ask you a question: When was the last time you raced slot cars or have you ever raced a slot car? If your answer is what the hell is a slot car? We need to talk!
Slot cars are scaled cars that you race on an electric track. Cool doesn't even begin to tell the story. Come on over a race some slots with us!!
