About the Get Down

Edmonton Alberta's the Get down have been making a name for themselves with their patented brand of raw rocknroll revival. Since forming in 2006 the band has shared the stage with such Canadian rock luminaries as Cmon, The Von Zippers, Battle Snakes, The Hot Blood Bombers, Starvin Hungry, Whitey Houston, Twin Fangs, Huevos Rancheros, Hot Live Guys and Bionic. Their current 5 song ep "dirty power" released on Winnipeg's Transistor 66 record co. is the culmination of their unforgiving no quarter given balls to the walls rocknroll. If you haven't caught them on one of their many jaunts across western Canada, have no fear they will be coming to a town near you. But be warned, you call down the thunder you reap the whirl wind.
