massive irruptions of the mind, epiphanies, the sound of water and the sight of mountains, joy and decadence, Dionysos, Nietzsche, Lyotard, Jankelevitch and Cioran, cigarettes, and the either spiritual shocks or soothing ailings provided by such folk as D.E. Edwards (16 Horsepower & Woven Hand), Nick Cave, Nick Drake, Tom Waits, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, In The Woods..., Anathema, Leonard Cohen, Richard Wagner, Edvard Grieg, Pink Floyd, Gravenhurst, Bonnie Prince Billie, Electric magnolia, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Roy Harper, Eels, Beck, Daniel Lanois, Jesse Sykes, Madrugada, Katatonia, Opeth, Burzum, Psychotic waltz, Tindersticks, Porcupine tree, Camel, King crimson, dEUS, Matt Elliot, Last shadow puppets and a very little bit Marvin Gaye.
Biography///Winter 2004: insects witnessing a member of the human species playing his damn guitar and cello night after night, composing songs for his graduating-project as a violin-builder. Tunes were performed that summer in an obscure, murky club called Frontline, and generally sounded like something you might dub as drake-style, finger-picked folk noir.///Somewhere in 2005 these songs were re-arranged by the slightly more psychedelic rock line-up that still forms Saturn up to this day///As time passed by, insects died, new songs evolved and gigs were played in Kinky Star, Cactus Club, Charlatan (due to winning Studio Brussel's Demopoll) and many other cool places.///Summer 2006... Several new-fangled insects witnessing Saturnic creatures recording 4 new songs, three of those posted on top of this page.///Many more gigs were played at 't Cafe en Compagnie (with UK's Leafblade), the Biebob (supporting Anathema) and De Centrale, amongs others, and Saturn did some festivals this summer (Theater aan Zee, DzjemFest, ect.).///A DEBUT is planned to be released somewhere end 2009, and any news on the agonies and sufferings of insects will be reported on.
