Tommy Couture (born Thomas Alfred Cole Jr. February
25, 1981 in Lynn, Massachusetes) dropped out of
college (twice) to further his career as a
Photographer, Avant-Garde Fashion Designer, Master of
Glamourization, Martha Stewart of Rock & Roll,
Honorary Riot Grrrl and Co-Founder of This Old Thing?
clothing line. As a member of the Precious Empire, Mr.
Couture is responsible for designing Semi Precious
Weapons promotional materials, taking high fashion
photographs, coining phrases such as "thats the look"
and embracing the "Garage Glam" movement.
BIO #2:
This Old Thing? Clothing & Auxiliary (established in
June 2004) is a clothing line created by Roy & Tommy
Couture. The "reconstructed" method behind This Old
Thing? utilizes vintage clothing and fabrics to create
modern garments that are ironic, witty, and technical
in design. This Old Thing? and Semi Precious Weapons
have had a symbiotic promotional and stylistic
relationship since the very beginning stages of the
bands formation in 2005. In February 2007 the Coutures
opened ALTER, their first retail location located in Greenpoint Brooklyn.
