Tom Tancredo is legislating in Washington, DC for his Colorado district.
I was born to a blue collar family in North Denver. For over 40 years my mom worked as a clerk at Joslins Department Store and my father worked at a meat packing plant. I worked my way through college and had always taken an interest in politics. I have been a conservative for as long as I can remember. Having run for 9 elections (counting both state legislature and US Congress) and been elected all 9 times, my record speaks for itself.
I have always believed that there are two kinds of politicians: the person whose first decision is which office to run for, and the person who has an agenda and seeks an office to carry it out. I consider myself to be the latter. Since I have been in the US Congress, there are 2 things that have been most important to me. The first is being the author of the Sudan Peace Act, which helped bring an end to the 24 year civil war that left over 2 million people dead and another 4 million people displaced. The second is that I believe I have created a national debate on immigration. It is something nobody wanted to talk about, but I have pressed the issue hard and brought it to the forefront of political discussion. It has nothing to do with race or ethnicity. Rather, it deals with culture, ecology, economics, and the true meaning of citizenship.
The thing I am most proud of, in my life, is helping to raise two wonderful boys and see them become great fathers. The part of my life that brings me the greatest joy is watching my grandchildren (5 boys, ages 2-11) learn and develop.
"...Tom Tancredo ... is the full-spectrum, 24-carat conservative on everything from entitlement spending to abortion to illegal immigrants to the threat of a rapidly arming China."

Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is proud to be an American!
Thanks for bringing a little more attention to the crimmigrant situation. I will not vote for Juan McCain either. We can be assured of one thing with the coming election. We will have a liberal president for the next four years.
Thank you for all that you've done for our country, and I hope you find a way to continue serving (and soon). I'll reluctantly support McCain with you and Romney out, but this country can do so much better.
Mr. Tancredo, I would just like to let you know that your NH staff was excellant! Allan and Jason were awesome. We supported you from the very beginning.
I'm just sorry that you pulled out of the race for President!!! You were at the top of my list along with Duncan Hunter...now the choices are pretty depressing for me...just stopped by to tell you I was a big fan!!!
I have been working so much that I didn't realize that you were no longer in the presidential race, went to vote, voted for you and then found out that it didn't count!!! I'm sad!!!
How I wish you were still running for President. I just shake my head at the ridiculous mess this country is facing. There is no one, NO ONE who is doing or even wants to do what the American people are demanding to be done. You were and are one of the ONLY elected representatives of this country who even has a clue. Thank you for helping to warn us, Tom. Thank God for men like you who still have the guts, bravery, credibility and fortitude to say and do what should be and needs to be done. The men and women of this country need to pull together and tell our government that enough is enough!!
I am proud to say I have voted for Tom Tancredo. Tom has represented the 6th District very honorably. To bad many of the Republicans in the House and Senate don't do the work that Tom does.
I'm still caucusing for you in Iowa, Tom. You taught me well. Don't waiver from your beliefs and positions. I have to go with my gut and vote for YOU on Jan.3. There are no other options.
Happy New Year, Tom, to you and your family. We miss you in Iowa. I'm so proud of you for everything you accomplished. Thank you, sir. You are my hero.
Tom: Thanks for giving it a try!!! Wish more Americans could have had some since!! It looks like we will be stuck with another corporate lackey for President!!! When will guys like me ever get a break!!!
