"Now it's on to Thomas Kivi, a good-working-on-great songwriter who possesses a huckleberry voice that leans more toward John Denver than Conor Oberst and whaddya know? Here's another talented pal... reporting that Kivi... has only been writing songs for a year. Which is fairly amazing, given that his as-yet unrecorded 'Freedom Dues' is a heartfelt mélange of complicated images and emotions that seeks to define the times, and succeeds. No mean feat." >>>>>Jim Walsh (Minnpost.com/Jimwalsh)--former City Pages music editor and award winning columnist for the Pioneer Press

"he resembles the sound and style of Bob Dylan, but Thomas is most definitely original."

"After the Mad Ripple Hootenanny ringleader Jim Walsh first heard local folk singer Thomas Kivi perform at one of his ongoing 'Hoots,' he was immediately impressed, lauding him as a 'good-working-on-great songwriter who possesses a huckleberry voice that leans more toward John Denver than Conor Oberst.' Personally, I hear a little of Jeff Buckley in there – and it doesn’t hurt that he’s reminiscent of Heath Ledger-as-Dylan in that Todd Haynes biopic.">>>>>Jahna Peloquin (StPaulStacation.com)

"Thomas Kivi... has a spare, coffeehouse style, all guitar and harmonica and a tale to tell." >>>>>Christa Lawler (While You Were In...)
Just showing some love, TK! I'm playing at Acadia on December 16th and would love to see you there. I'm also planning to drop by O'Garas on the 12th and listen to some awesome folks! I'm so excited for my visit!
Hey man, we're throwing our cd release party this saturday at the 331 club with the Floorbirds and the Fontanelles. If you're free you should swing down. Hope things are going well for ya.
Hey< Great show last night. The songs sounded great. The full band version of "Dreams" sounded amazing. And the finale was really intense. It's a great song any way, but your voice really adds something. I don't what you've got, but you've got it all right!

Hey, thanks for the heads up about the show. I am planning on being there, and I am bringing at least two people. So, how do I get ahold of these presale tickets? I'll take four.
Thomas I am only leaving a comment on your page so you will leave one on mine in return and it will appear that we are both more popular than we really are. I feel that we should repeat this procedure until the desired result is shown in our quarterly reports.
Thomas, I absolutely love these songs more and more every time I listen to them. You hit it all right on the head, and it makes me feel good to see people out there working towards something pure like that. We would love to play with you at the Beat just give us a date and we'll be there. I'm going to try and make it to your show on tuesday if works permits. I'm sure I'll find a way and when I do I'll speak with you there about it all. :) much love. BA.
