About me: Thomas Stokes III is a laid back bass player, a bass and drum teacher, an inspirational musician that lives in the city of Savannah, Georgia.
He rose on the seen as a professional musician at the early age of 13 as a drummer, playing for local and national groups/choirs such as The Savannah Community choir, The C.O.G.I.C. National choir under the direction of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, The Savannah Mass choir, and various others. In the late 80’s he advanced his level of music by moving on to play the bass guitar. After several years of playing the bass locally, he branched out to play with national artist like Albertina Walker, Dorothy Norwood, GMWA youth choir, as well as many others.
While he played vigorously and constantly on this power packed level, he always made time to do local workshops and clinics in his community and surrounding areas. While traveling and playing his bass guitar locally, state wide and nationally, it was during this time he was inspired to form his own singing group (The Redeemed Delegation) and later he co-produced along with Gregg Mitchell is first instrumental solo project entitled “A Touch Of Flavor” with his own band called The Brothers of Judah. In traveling with his choir and then his band, it allowed him to network with others such as the Bobby Jones, Candi Staton, Thomas Whitfield and tour for three years with Rev. Timothy Wright.
After traveling around playing his instrumental project, it was during this time he married his present wife who has been and still is an ongoing inspiration to him and his talent. Thomas is now an aggressive bass player who is currently working with several local artist on their recording projects, as well as devoting time to working on his own next instrumental project with a release date coming soon.
He is excited about music, instruments, and musicians and looks forward to a future of networking with others and collaborating his talents with professionals.
