Writing, cinema, music, following the career of Jodie Marsh, yada yada yada.
Music
I hate RnB with a vengeance. People who listen to it should be shot in the face. Also dislike the sort of music where it looks like they spent more time on the packaging and video than the song (e.g. Jessica Simpson, Gwen Stefani, Cascada).
Favourite bands/singers: The Smiths, Moz, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Small Faces, Bob Dylan, Sex Pistols, The Pogues, Billy Bragg, The Kinks, Kate Bush, Blur, The Pixies, The Sundays, The Cure, Joy Division, New Order, Oasis, The Wedding Present, Pulp, Supergrass, The La's, Idlewild, Hope of the States. At the moment: Guillemots, Cortney Tidwell, The Good The Bad and The Queen, Phoenix, Captain, Fields, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, New Young Pony Club.
Movies
Withnail and I, Unforgiven, Casablanca, The Godfather 1 and 2, Goodfellas, Annie Hall, Donnie Darko, Boogie Nights. Favourite comedy films: The Producers, Airplane, Anchorman, The Jerk, The Man with Two Brains, Dumb and Dumber, Sleeper, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Television
Only Fools and Horses, Dad's Army, I'm Alan Partridge, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Arrested Development. Favourite shows at the moment: Scrubs, My Name is Earl and The Office USA.
Books
Catcher in the Rye, The Grapes of Wrath, Oliver Twist, Catch 22, The Wasp Factory, Wuthering Heights, Brighton Rock, The Great Gatsby, A Clockwork Orange.
Heroes
In no particular order, Muhammad Ali, Tommy Cooper, Karl Marx, Shakespeare, Tom Paine, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David (for producing the best sitcom of all time), Daffy Duck, Bobby Moore, Charles Dickens...Shakin' Stevens, Steven Seagal, Bobby Davro and that guy from the Safe Style Windows adverts ("I said you buy one, you get one free!")

Journalist by day. Aspiring writer by night (and weekend).
I'm currently working on a novel - a black comedy/ghost story. First draft recently completed but still some way to go before it's finished.
I've also written five sitcom scripts. Influences include Seinfeld, The Simpsons, I'm Alan Partridge, Only Fools & Horses, Arrested Development and Dad's Army. I had some interest last year from a production company (who said that my work had a lot of potential) as well as plenty of positive feedback from other companies during 2006 and a recent breakthrough that I'm hoping will lead to a commission.
Below is some stuff wot I uploaded for your viewing pleasure - Bang Bang Machine (sadly missed), Hope of the States (ditto) and Big Train (remember when sketch shows were funny?)
Who I'd like to meet: Barry Scott. Just so I could ask him why he feels the need to shout so much whilst plugging his overpriced cleaning products. I would also enquire after his well-being as he looks like shit warmed up in his latest advert.
Would also like to meet anyone with an interest in comedy writing and performing and creative writing in general.
